Reprogramming to a Success Mindset

Programmed to Watch Others Develop that Success Mindset

From the time we are small children, we see “successful” people everywhere, and not just on TV and Magazines, but even in our local communities, even in school, do you remember the kids that came top of the class? And how they were worshiped by the teachers? Well these people were programmed with what I like to dub a “Success Mindset”, and many would have grown up with this mentality from an early age.

This “Success Mindset” is what leads many of these people to go from strength to strength, almost as if they could never fail at anything.

Now, there is nothing wrong with people being successful at what they do, but the problem is that the vast majority of us were programmed to think that we could not have success like them, as if this Success Mindset is something that belongs to an elite.

And what happens as a result? There are many people out there in society who never came near to achieving what they could have achieved in life.

And why?

Because they were taught from an early age that life has to be that way for them, and that they must live according to someone else’s terms, because they can never be like those “successful people”. And the whole matter is rounded off with phrases like “life’s tough”, or “it’s a scary world out there” for those who dare question the status quo.

But it really doesn’t have to be like that…

Mediocre Mindset to Success Mindset

Now, life is a challenge, and it has its tough moments no matter what choice you make, but why should that be reason enough to settle for mediocrity? After all, the mediocre route looks a lot tougher, more frustrating, with not a lot to show at the end.

So perhaps thinking outside the box, developing that “Success Mindset” may not be as tough as once perceived, it has its challenges, but can be achieved with persistence.

The First Step to developing that Success Mindset is to make the decision to go after those long desired goals, then the next stage is to be proactive, figure out how it’s going to be done, educate yourself with the right skills, and make a realistic plan.

And make sure you surround yourself with positive, realistic people who can help you reach your goals, and while there’s no room for negativity, we have to make sure that we keep our feet on the ground, so some “healthy pessimism” is permitted.

Remember, everything takes time and persistence, it never happens overnight. And when you encounter setbacks, be proactive and get good at solving problems, there will be plenty along the way.

Every problem resolved is a step to reprogramming the mind, undoing that Mediocre Mindset that has been ingrained into us, and replacing that with a Success Mindset, step by step.

The Journey towards the Success Mindset

I call it a journey because it takes time to change old thinking habits, and it only happens one stage at a time, but one thing I found was when I succeeded at the first step, I started succeeding at more steps, and I was able to take on more tasks, and achieve satisfactory results in other areas of my life.

But how did this happen? I didn’t suddenly become more intelligent, nothing magic happened. No, all that happened was my mind had started to program itself towards succeeding, that’s right, I could see the “Success Mindset” emerging in myself, and I was developing more confidence, and as I developed more confidence, my abilities developed, like a snowball effect.

And this reprogramming of the mind is not for some select few, it’s for anyone who chooses to do something better with their lives.

Changing from the Mediocre Mindset to the Success Mindset is not easy, but in the long run, it is more fulfilling.

Seriously, network marketing is the only business structure that I know of that encourages you to make yourself better and help others. If I sent you here, you should get back to me, or if someone else did, keep an open mind. We don’t have to submit to slavery; there is a better way.

3 Reasons People Fail at a Home Based Business

1. Wrong Expectations

Many watch a video, read a sales pitch in an email, or see some self proclaimed marketing guru on a late night television infomercial, telling them that in just a few short minutes, with just a ‘few clicks of the mouse’, for only ‘a few dollars’ they too can be on their way from ‘rags to riches’. The heart starts pumping, the mind races with thoughts of fast cars and lavish vacations, and before they know it, their credit card is in hand and the promised “secret formula” is as good as theirs! But then what? It comes. It looks a lot like something they bought 6 months ago? They follow the directions but soon come to the realization, that there’s a whole lot more to it than they originally thought. Now the thoughts of “finally I’ll be making money from home” turn to “not this again, and what’s my wife going to say?”The frustration sets in and theirs no one to call to get help. And that “Money Back Guarantee”, how does that really work?Within a few days the excitement has turned to frustration and utter discouragement.

The problem: Wrong expectations. Starting, growing, and maintaining a successful Home Based Business of any kind never happens over night and seldom happens, at least to the degree promised, even in a few months. The saying “Good things come to those who wait” is applicable here, at least in part. If you work hard, stick with it, and follow a ‘proven plan’ (more on that in a minute), chances are you will be successful. Expecting to get rich over night only works in Vegas, and this author is in no way for that method either.

2. Wrong System or Strategy

There is definitely no shortage of ‘Work From Home” business or “Get Rich Quick Secrets”. I’ll have to admit, even some of the programs out there that make the most sensational claims of making you quick money work some of the time for some of the people. But the real success comes from taking the time to learn whatever system you choose to go with and then working hard at perfecting it. Learning it well enough to tweak it yourself, not having to rely on someone who isn’t even there. Having the wrong system or business plan though is a no-win situation no matter how hard you work it.

3. No Support System

You can have all your ducks in a row, but if you have no one to turn to when you absolutely need help, forget it! You will fail. The simplest thing can stall your momentum, and the best way to keep things moving in the right direction is to have a knowledgeable resource, preferably someone you can actually talk to, as oppose to chat, tweet, or email. Some programs out there brag about ‘live conference call’ support. But who really wants to ask what they might deem a stupid question with thousands of people on the line listening? In this industry, what is really priceless, is having a mentor willing and available to take your call and answer your questions. This asset will launch your business to new heights in record time. And let’s not forget the extreme importance of the support you’ll need to succeed that comes from your ‘significant other’! If you succeed at a Home Based Business without the support of your spouse, congratulations, you’re the first ever! Utilize each others talents, bounce ideas around together, dream together, and soon enough you’ll get to reap the rewards of hard work together.

Summing it all up: You need to maintain reasonable expectations. It most often takes longer than you’re told to establish a successful Home Based Business. Don’t be afraid to dream and have vision for your business, but balance that with a douse of reality every once in a while.

You need the right system. One that is moral and ethical in nature. Ask yourself this: “Do I want people I know to know what I’m doing or selling?” Is it something your proud to be a part of or promoting? Can you sleep at night? Or is the thought of selling 10 cases of vitamins to some poor old lady, just to meet the months quota, knowing she most likely won’t even live long enough to take them all keeping you awake?

The ‘Right System’ should include the following at the least: Good product, good marketing plan that’s not too difficult to understand, and of course, it must have a good support system (training, trouble-shooting, moral support). Wow. Could there really be something like that out there?

There it is. It took me years to find it, but indeed, good things come to those who wait. If you’d like to see for yourself that there really is a morally and ethically grounded opportunity out there, that really does have your best interest in mind as they coach you step by step, then visit “JohnPetruse Conquer“ to see where opportunity and education come together.

Why Robert T. Kiyosaki and Donald Trump Recommend Network Marketing

I found an article about network marketing written by Robert Kiyosaki and Donald Trump.

The featured article goes like this,Trump/Kiyosaki: Why We Recommend Network Marketing and it was published by Success Magazine.

The article caught my attention because I know Robert Kiyosaki because of his best-selling book Rich Dad Poor Dad. I also have a collection of his books. Donald Trump was his co-author in this article. And I also have a copy of Donald Trump’s book Think Big And Kick Ass.

I became interested in that article because I was wondering why these two business giants recommend network marketing.

Robert Kiyosaki said he was against network marketing when he first heard about it. But after opening his eyes, he began to see advantages that few other business opportunities offer. He said that Network Marketing is the industry for people who want to change their lives.

Network Marketing Is a B-Quadrant Business

In the Cashflow Quadrant, the second book in the Rich Dad series of books, Robert Kiyosaki discusses the four quadrants. The four quadrants are the following;

He recommends a network marketing business if we are in E or S quadrants and we want to change to B quadrant, because many network marketing companies provide personal – development , necessary skills, and attitude training to be successful in B quadrant.

According to him, a true network marketing business is the exact opposite of a traditional business model because a real network marketing business is designed to bring you to the top and not keep you at the bottom. A true network marketing company does not succeed unless it brings people to the top.

In his book Cashflow Quadrant, he further stressed that he endorse any network marketing company that is first committed to developing you as a human being, more than developing you as a salesperson.

The following are points worth mentioning about network marketing:

1. Tax break increase. If you start a network marketing business in your spare time while keeping your regular job, you will begin to gain the tax advantages. A person with part-time business can take more tax deductions than employees can. Of course it is important to consult and check it with CPA for exact rulings about your tax situation.

2. Meet like-minded people. We have a saying that goes like this, “Birds of the same feather, flock together.” This is also true in network marketing. We can meet people with the same interest and share a common goal. It is important that we surround ourselves and mingle with people with the same aspirations.

3. Give yourself time. Becoming successful does not happen in just a flick of an eye. It always take time. It requires dedication and patient on the part of a person.

4. Network marketing companies are patient. The beauty of a network marketing companies is that it will invest in you. Many network marketing companies provide trainings for its independent distributors because they want you to become successful. Because if you will not become successful, their business will not also become successful. After all, their goal should be brought you to the top and not keep you at the bottom.

5. Leverage the systems already in place. You will not find it hard to create a new system because the system is already built and proven.

On the other hand, Donald Trump pointed out the following about network marketing:

1. It requires an entrepreneurial spirit, focus and perseverance.

2. Network marketing is inherently social.

3. Network marketing has proven itself to be a viable and rewarding source of income.

Donald Trump also advises to do your research and put everything you’ve got into your product. He added that genuine enthusiasm is hard to beat and the odds will be with you.

What Does Financial Freedom Mean To You?

What Does Financial Freedom Mean To You?

So, what does financial freedom mean to you?

Most working people dream of this thing called financial freedom. It certainly sounds like something we’d all want. But have you ever stopped to really think about what it means? It can mean different things to different people, so before you spend time looking for it, maybe it’s worthwhile to examine what the concept really means to you.

After all, it’s hard to find something if you don’t know exactly what it is!
Time and money are inversely related. This means that in most cases, one can be traded for theother. And if you think of how that applies both to your everyday life and to the way business is conducted, it’s true. For example, you can spend your own time cleaning your house or mowing your lawn, or pay someone to do it for you, and free up the time for yourself. You can spend time researching on your own, or you can pay some money for someone else’s specialized knowledge in that same field.

With that idea in mind, financial freedom may be defined broadly as reaching the point where you no longer have to trade your time for money in order to provide for what you want in life. There are two key phrases in that idea – “no longer have to trade” and “what you want”. These are what you have to define for yourself, in order to determine what financial freedom means to you.

To many, financial freedom means just not having to work for a living. They dream of stepping off the treadmill of going to work everyday to pay the bills. Some may want to escape the stresses of the job itself, unpleasant working conditions, commuting, boredom, and so on. Others may just value more time to be with their families and pursue their own interests. For most people, it’s some combination of those.

But some people will want to continue to work, even after they’ve reached a state of financial freedom. They may already have a job they find personally rewarding, or they may be able to switch to another job which they love. If they’re financially free, the income they receive from a job doesn’t matter as much. Still others may want to run their own business. Financial freedom, for these people, means they don’t “have to trade” their time for money, but they may choose to do so.

The other important factor in finding financial freedom for yourself is that of your current and future lifestyle. Some people prefer a very modest home, car, vacations, and possessions, and will always want to live that way. Starting from the same point, these people will be able to reach a level of financial freedom sooner than those who aspire to more elegant surroundings.

To reach financial freedom, you will have to decide on your own means of getting there. You may find you can reach that point on an income, most likely from your own business, from investment income, or from a combination. If you take the business income route, be sure to build something that will continue to provide income, even if you don’t trade your time for it. Otherwise, you won’t have reached that level as we’ve defined it here.

Ultimately, financial freedom is about control. Control over your own time and life, that will let you make the choices you want to make, rather than being forced to accept those offered by circumstance.
