Before joining a network marketing business there are few things you should consider. In this article I’m going to break down to you 5 things you should look at and put into consideration before you spend your hard earned money. So let’s get to it.
5 Things To Consider Before Joining A Network Marketing Business
1. The Company: Before joining a network marketing business the first and foremost thing you want to look at is the company. You want to know what this company is all about. Does the company seem legit? Lets face it, there are some bad companies out there. You know, the true pyramid scheme organizations. These are the companies you want to stay clear of.
You also want to know who the leaders are and what is their experience. Not only do you want a leader who is experienced in the MLM industry but in the product as well. Are the leaders qualified to run such a business? Are they loyal and trustworthy? You don’t want to get yourself in a situation where the leaders are dishonest and/or flaking on the business.
Another important factor to look at before joining a network marketing business is the company’s debt. Are they in debt? Do they have enough money to assure that they will stay in business? These things are important to consider because you don’t want to join a company who doesn’t have enough capital to not only pay their reps but to stay alive in the industry.
2. The Product: Why is the product important to consider before joining a network marketing business? Well, to be quite frank, I don’t think its that relevant. Now don’t get me wrong, yes you want a good product that you can sell to your consumers, but it doesn’t rank at the top of the list to me. The reason I say this is because a business can do great with a horrible product because ultimately, people buy into you, not your product.
With that being said, yes products may not be at the top of my priority list, but its important enough for you to determine if you want to join a business or not. Look at the product and ask yourself “Will I use this product if someone offered it to me?” If you can answer yes then the company should be something for you would possibly consider. If your answer is no, then move on. Don’t waste your time nor effort on joining.
3. The Need: After you know what the product is do you see a need for it? Yes I feel that the product isn’t that important but at the same time you want to make sure you’re selling something that is being used. After all, most company’s comp plans are designed where this is where your residual income come from. You don’t want a product that no one wants nor need. You want something that is appealing not only for selling purposes but for recruiting purposes as well.
4. The Compensation Plan: Binary, Matrix, Uni-level, Stairstep Breakaway, just to name a few may seem like foreign language to most people. And the concept of how you will get paid is sometimes confusing. I mean, we all join these companies for financial freedom right? So why not take the time to study the comp plan before joining a network marketing business.
The reason I say this is because all comp plans aren’t the same. You don’t want to be putting in too much of your time into a business that isn’t going to pay you for your effort. Study the compensation package carefully to see if its worth you joining.
5. The Timing: We all hear that timing and positioning is everything. Well this concept most certainly applies to this industry. The fact of the matter is that the most money is made it the beginning stages of the company. Are you the 1,005 person to sign up, or the 1,000,005 person? I don’t know about you, but I want to make sure I’m in front of the wave and not behind. So make sure you put the timing into consideration before joining a network marketing business. When did they launch? How long have they been around? This concept also applies to the product.
Before Joining A Network Marketing Business…
make sure you put all of the following into careful consideration. Make sure you truly evaluate what you’re about to embark on and make sure its for you. Do it because you want to do it, not because someone is dragging you to do it. Because lets face it, network marketing isn’t for every one. Most people aren’t cut out for this hence the fact that 97% of people fail at it. But if you’re truly a strong person that wants your time back along with financial freedom, then go for it. But first remember the 5 things you should consider before joining a network marketing business
